My favorite part about this project was the print making process, my least was the carving and seeing my sister jab herself in the hand accidentally trying to carve out her drawing. The inspiration for my hamsa print is that I really love the meaning behind the hamsa symbol, it shows a sign of protection and also resembles strength and love. If I could redo my print I would try to make cleaner lines throughout the whole print.
This project was a challenge because I've never attempted to draw a picture of myself. I spent a lot of time on it and I didn't give up which I'm really proud of because the process was very frustrating. The hardest part for me was drawing the mouth and nose and finding the right place to place the features and shading them.
