My favorite part about this project was the print making process, my least was the carving and seeing my sister jab herself in the hand accidentally trying to carve out her drawing. The inspiration for my hamsa print is that I really love the meaning behind the hamsa symbol, it shows a sign of protection and also resembles strength and love. If I could redo my print I would try to make cleaner lines throughout the whole print.
This project was a challenge because I've never attempted to draw a picture of myself. I spent a lot of time on it and I didn't give up which I'm really proud of because the process was very frustrating. The hardest part for me was drawing the mouth and nose and finding the right place to place the features and shading them.
This was a really different project because you were looking at your hand 3-d and had to make it 2-d. I struggle with drawing hands so this was another struggle for me to do. In the end I learned more techniques on how to draw a realistic hand.
This activity was something cool to do for the first time. It was hard for me to tie the balloons mainly because I have fat fingers, but overall it was interesting to find the best way to construct and maintain a balloon structure
The contour hand was probably one of my least favorite works. I really didn't put enough time into it and I also struggle making hands.
Drawing hands is really hard for me. I took a lot of time to do my best and try to make it realistic as possible. Doing this I think it came out better than the other projects we did with drawing hands.I thought I needed to add a bit more creativity so I painted a water color painting and then added the hands on to it. I thought it added a little more to the painting and made it stand out. The hands are sign
I first made a sketch of what I wanted my mask to be like, but in the end I just went with It and it turned out different than what I thought it would look like.
I thought this was something cool and different to do, at first it was hard for me to get the hang of the blade but after a little while it was easier. I think it would be cool to redo this project and see what it would come out to be.
